MOVIE POSTER

The movie poster for "The Lion King" features a  grunge forest aesthetic, with forest trees fading into the background. I used  various Photoshop techniques to achieve its distinct look. The background features an image of a dense forest with subtle tree outlines. To create this effect, a layer mask was applied to the forest image, allowing certain areas to be more transparent, creating a soft and dreamy background that doesn't overpower the main elements.

The father and son lions are positioned in the center, with the images of the lions placed on separate layers to maintain clarity and sharpness. Adjustment layers, such as brightness/contrast and levels, were used to enhance their visibility and add depth. This technique ensures the lions stand out against the lighter background. Light flares were used to  illuminate both the father lion and the cub. These flares were created using brushes or custom shapes with a soft glow effect. By using different blending modes, like "Screen" or "Overlay," these light flares appear radiant without harsh edges, giving the poster a sense of warmth and light.

The title, displayed in bold burgundy letters, uses a combination of text layers and light effects. The release date, positioned just below the title, was created with a simple text layer, ensuring it's clear and easy to read. The credits at the bottom are aligned using text and shape tools to maintain a professional look.
